The Model SI2 is a stripwound interlocked stainless steel hose that contains a packing for pressure tight service, unlike the SI1 hose, which is unpacked. The edge of metal strip is folded so that the joints interlock.
It is relatively lightweight but tough. Applications for the metal hose include fume and dust collection, engine exhaust, low pressure steam, and many others. Also available in galvanized steel, bronze, and monel. Commonly provided with any style of carbon or stainless steel, or aluminum fittings.
Also available in a galvanized material as a value option.
